Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram social network, announced his departure from Dubai on March 1 amid Iranian strikes. He shared that he is waiting to return to the UAE because of the crime in Europe.
"Unfortunately, I had to leave Dubai for Europe a week ago, so not only am I missing out on the free fireworks from Iran, but I'm also putting myself at greater risk. Given the crime rate in Europe, Dubai is statistically safer, even despite the rocket attacks. I'm looking forward to returning," the entrepreneur wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
