"Today, the Air Force of the Ministry of National Defense conducted precise and coordinated air operations against key Pakistani military installations, striking the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi, the headquarters of the 12th Division in Quetta (Baluchistan), Khwazai camp in Mohmand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as well as a number of other important Pakistani military installations and command centers.", — stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the department.
It is clarified that, according to preliminary estimates, the strikes caused significant damage to the Pakistani military infrastructure. The Defense Ministry clarified that these strikes were in response to Pakistan's air attacks on Kabul and Bagram airbase, as well as a number of other areas of Afghanistan last night and in the morning.
The ministry stressed that further violations of the airspace will also be immediately suppressed by oncoming fire.
On March 1, Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan's Minister of Information and Broadcasting, announced that Afghanistan had lost 995 people killed and wounded during the conflict with Pakistan. Later that day, the AFP news agency reported on the activation of air defense systems and explosions in Kabul.
