The main part of Russian tourists who find themselves in the zone of aggravation in the Middle East are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait. This was reported to Izvestia on March 1 by the press service of the Turpomosh association.

"According to tour operators, there are currently between 50-60 thousand organized tourists in four countries, of which about 50 thousand are in the United Arab Emirates. The exact total number of Russian citizens in these countries is within the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the statement said.

According to the association, tours have ended for about 10% of vacationers, but tour operators continue to ensure the stay of those who remain at their own expense.

It is specified that all organized tourists are under control: accommodation, meals and information support are provided. In case of flight delays, the stay is extended or alternative accommodation is arranged.

Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), told Izvestia that Russian tourists stranded in the UAE due to the closure of airspace are fully accommodated in hotels.

The Israeli and American military attacked the republic, including a school in the city of Minab. In response, Tehran has fired missiles and drones at American military bases located in the Middle East. Explosions also occurred in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
