About 20 thousand Russians are stuck in the UAE due to cancelled and missed flights.

There are about 20 thousand Russian tourists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), whose flights for the next dates have been canceled or missed due to the closure of the airspace. This was announced on March 1 by the press service of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

"According to ATOR's preliminary estimates, there are currently about 20 thousand tourists in the UAE, whose flights have been canceled or missed for the upcoming dates, while their planned vacation has already ended," the organization's Telegram channel says.

In addition, ATOR reports problems with departure for tourists in Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. About 6-8 thousand more Russians are stuck in other countries with tickets for connecting flights through the Persian Gulf countries.
