Russians were crying because of the closure of the consulate in Gdansk, and this situation became a difficult event for them. This was announced on March 1 by the former Consul General of Russia in Poland, Sergey Semenov.

"Many people called and expressed their sympathy. Some were crying. People offered their help and support. And I am grateful to them for that," the diplomat told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Consulate General posted information about the closure on social networks, transmitted it through word of mouth, and published a video message expressing regret that it would no longer be able to help its compatriots.
