Tourists from Russia found themselves in a difficult situation on the island of Mauritius due to the closure of the airspace of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Izvestia publishes relevant footage on March 1.

It is specified that the flight was originally scheduled to take place at 10:00 Moscow time. However, after the passengers had been on board the plane for three hours, they had to wait at the airport for some time, but they did not receive any information about the reason for the delay.

"No one knows anything, there is no information. Already 20 thousand steps were found at the airport. It's not clear where to just stay," Maria, a tourist, shared with Izvestia.

The passengers were later sent to the hotel, where they are currently awaiting check-in. They were also given vouchers for meals. The footage from the airport shows a lot of people crowding in queues waiting for information about delayed flights.

On February 28, the United States announced the start of a large-scale military operation with Israel against Iran. The Israeli and American military attacked the republic, including a school in the city of Minab. According to Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, more than 100 children were killed as a result of an attack by Israel and the United States on an educational institution.

In response, Tehran has fired missiles and drones at American military bases located in the Middle East. Explosions also occurred in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. An Iranian attack at Abu Dhabi International Airport killed one person and injured seven others. In addition, at least 20 people were injured as a result of Iran's missile strike on Tel Aviv.

Tourists from the Russian Federation reported problems with flights from the UAE and Israel due to attacks on Iran. Dubai airports have suspended operations indefinitely due to the escalation in the region. Passengers were advised not to come to airports during the restrictions and to contact their airlines to clarify departure times.

At the same time, Aeroflot cancelled all flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on February 28 amid attacks by Iran and Israel.

On February 28, the UAE authorities announced that the country would cover all costs of accommodating and providing passengers stranded in the country, ensuring the provision of basic services during operational adjustments. The UAE authorities assured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the aviation system and passenger support.
