The staff of Sergeant Ukhov suppressed the work of two enemy mortars

The personnel under the command of Sergeant Alexei Ukhov destroyed the enemy's manpower during the combat mission. This was announced on February 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Sergeant Ukhov led his subordinates in conducting counter-battery warfare in the context of the active use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result of the actions of the mortar crew, two enemy mortars were suppressed. Using the "nomadic mortar" tactical technique, Ukhov competently organized the work of the unit, which made it possible to destroy the enemy's manpower. Thanks to the courage and selfless actions of the sergeant, the combat mission was completed without loss of personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism and bravery of the gunner of the infantry fighting vehicle of the motorized rifle battalion, Corporal Oleg Shchukin. As part of the crew of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), he participated in the task of defeating the enemy by fire in the tactical area of a special military operation (SVO) and corrected the actions of the crew during an active attack by enemy UAVs. His competent actions helped to repel the attack and destroy the enemy's manpower.

After repelling enemy attacks, Shchukin personally evacuated his wounded comrades, which allowed them to save their lives. Thanks to the professionalism and brave actions of the corporal, the combat mission was completed without loss of personnel.

The department also noted the brave and decisive actions of the deputy platoon commander, Senior Sergeant Alexander Lapshin, who outflanked the enemy, suddenly attacked and destroyed several Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters.
