The State Duma recalled the shortened working week after March 8
After the holidays dedicated to International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8, Russians will have a short working week from March 10 to March 13. This was announced on February 28 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
According to Nilov, due to the postponement of the weekend from Sunday, March 8 to Monday, March 9, the working week will begin only on Tuesday, March 10, and will last four days — until Friday, March 13, inclusive.
The deputy, in an interview with RIA Novosti, explained that the established work schedule in the post-holiday period is a standard procedure aimed at ensuring gradual adaptation to the work rhythm and optimizing the allocation of labor resources. Nilov also recalled that the weekend in honor of International Women's Day will last from March 7 to March 9.
