Vladimir Dzhabarov, First deputy chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, said that President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, speaking about a possible meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, makes loud statements for effect and behaves in bad faith.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Friday, February 27, the senator noted that Zelensky is well aware that the territorial issue is a key condition. The politician stressed that Russia had paid a high price for Donbass, so the question of the ownership of these territories, according to him, could not be discussed.

"This once again shows that Zelensky is a cheat and a real deceiver. After we held referendums there, and they became part of Russia, their status is not subject to discussion. Therefore, of course, he agrees to a meeting with our president, because he knows that no one will discuss the Donbass issue with him," Jabarov stressed.

In his opinion, the Ukrainian leader is trying to shift responsibility onto Putin, presenting himself as a peacemaker, but this is nothing more than a bluff and deception.

Earlier in the day, Zelensky announced his readiness to meet with Putin, while stressing that he did not intend to concede the Donbass. He also noted that the United States, in his words, "is really putting pressure on Russia."

Also on February 27, it became known that boxer Alexander Usyk beat President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the rating of trust of Ukrainians. Zelensky was only in fourth place in the rating of trust of Ukrainians — he is just under half 49%.
