Residents of the village of Chumikan, which is located in the north of the Khabarovsk Territory, have been without electricity for four days, which disappeared due to a cyclone with squally winds. This was announced on February 27 by Governor Dmitry Demeshin.

"I see reports from residents of Chumikan that their village has been without electricity for the fourth day. The shutdown occurred on February 23 during the passage of a cyclone with heavy winds," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of the region clarified that this situation is under his control. He, referring to forecasts by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the region, Angelika Mironova, and the head of the Tuguro-Chumikansky district, Isabella Osipova, added that electricity would be restored by the end of this week.

On February 15, the Prosecutor's office of the Saratov region reported that over 1.2 thousand residents of the village of Krasny Oktyabr were left without electricity due to the accident. The ministry also noted that they are monitoring the recovery process.
