Umerov said that Ukraine and the United States discussed security guarantees in Geneva.

The Ukrainian and American delegations discussed economic aspects and security guarantees during the talks in Geneva. This was announced on February 26 by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

"Special attention was paid to the economic bloc and long—term support mechanisms for Ukraine," Umerov said in a Telegram message.

According to him, the next round of negotiations is currently being prepared. The parties are working on "finalizing the parameters" of security, economic solutions and agreed positions.

Kiev is delaying the process, but contacts in Geneva will still benefit the settlement, experts believe.

Negotiations between Kiev and Washington started on the afternoon of February 26. The day before, it was reported that the trilateral meeting of representatives of Russia, the United States and Ukraine was postponed to early March. They ended, lasting about four hours.
