Calculations of self-propelled artillery units (ACS) 2S19 "Msta-S" of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Center group of forces struck at the temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on February 27 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the target was identified by calculating the Orlan-10 reconnaissance complex of the Unmanned Systems Unit (UAV). After receiving the coordinates, the gunners promptly prepared the installation for firing and completed the firing task. The target was hit by high-explosive fragmentation ammunition at a distance of over 23 km.

"They charged up quickly. We worked it out quickly. The target was successfully hit. We are working on various targets: enemy manpower, armored vehicles, fortifications, dugouts, <...> command posts," said gun commander Valentin Sokolov.

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been destroyed. The results of the impact were confirmed by means of objective monitoring in real time. After completing the combat mission, the crew camouflaged the self-propelled gun and left the firing position, hiding in a safe place.

"We are actively working. More than 50 shells a day fly away at targets," Ramil Aksenov shared the calculation number.

On February 26, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that artillery crews of the 152-mm Msta-B howitzer of the 80th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces hit the temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in the forest belt in the Dnepropetrovsk direction of the SVR. It is specified that the target was detected by the Unmanned Systems Unit (UAS). The coordinates were transmitted to the artillery command post, after which the calculations of 152-mm towed howitzers 2A65 "Msta-B" began to perform combat missions.
