A court in Moscow has sentenced a vandal who doused the facade of a gym with paint.

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow sentenced a man who poured paint on the facade of the State Historical Museum (GIM) building on Red Square and disobeyed the police to two years and two months in prison and a fine of 20 thousand rubles. This was reported on February 26 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"The punishment was imposed in the form of imprisonment for a period of two years and two months with a fine of 20 thousand rubles," the Telegram channel of the department said.

It is specified that the man was accused of damaging a cultural heritage site and vandalism.

On October 11, the press service of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction reported that the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow had brought the man who had defaced the facade of the gym to administrative responsibility. It was clarified that the offender doused the wall of the museum with paint, and then damaged it with a hammer. At the meeting, he explained that in this way he expressed personal hostility to employees of the Federal Security Service (FSO) of Russia.
