A man was injured after an attack by an APU drone in the Belgorod region.

A civilian was injured in the Volokonovsky district of the Belgorod region after a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said on February 26.

"In the village of Volchya <...>, a man suffered a mine explosion injury, as well as multiple blind shrapnel wounds to the soft tissues of his arms and legs," he said in his Telegram channel.

The governor noted that the victim independently turned to doctors for help at the Volokonovskaya Central District Hospital (CRH), from where he was redirected to the Valuyskaya CRH. After providing assistance, the man was sent home to recover on an outpatient basis.

The day before, Gladkov indicated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not stop striking the Belgorod region. According to the authorities, 35 civilians have been killed in the region since the beginning of 2026 after enemy attacks.
