The case was opened on the fact of a fatal accident with a logging truck in Chita.

A criminal case has been opened in the Trans-Baikal Territory after a logging truck collided with house buildings, as a result of which three people were killed and one injured. This is reported by the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The accident occurred on Thursday evening, February 26, in the residential district of Peschanka in Chita. In the area of Gvardeyskaya Street, 5, the driver of a logging truck lost control, the car flew off the road and crashed into house buildings, destroying them.

Three people were killed in the accident, and another was taken to a medical facility with various injuries. They were all in the cab of the truck. According to the ChitaMedia news agency, with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, the victim is currently in the Trans-Baikal Regional Clinical Hospital.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of three people." All the circumstances of the fatal accident are being established.
