A married man from Ireland killed a girl in Moscow
In Moscow, law enforcement officers charged in absentia with the murder of a Moldovan citizen who brutally murdered his ex-girlfriend and fled abroad. The suspect arrived in Russia from Ireland shortly before the crime was committed, a source told Izvestia on February 26.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of February 21st. A girl born in 2004 was returning home and talking via video link with her parents. A former young man ambushed her at the entrance of the house and attacked her with a knife. The victim with multiple stab wounds was taken to one of the capital's hospitals.
"After a short period of time, she died from her injuries," the Russian capital's (IC) said in the MAX messenger.
Immediately after the attack, the man left the territory of Russia. Investigators have opened a criminal case under the article "Murder". In relation to the defendant, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention in absentia. The investigation of the criminal case continues, and all the circumstances of the incident are being established.
On February 25, a 49-year-old local resident was detained in the Orenburg region on charges of organizing the preparation of a murder for hire. According to investigators, in September 2025, a man engaged in business in the city owed a local businessman 15 million rubles. Not wanting to repay the debt, he decided to kill the creditor and turned to a friend, offering him to commit a crime for a reward.
