DTEK announced a critical situation with substations in the Odessa region
On February 26, the Ukrainian energy holding company DTEK announced that since the beginning of the military conflict, there has not been a single surviving substation for electricity transmission in the Odessa region of Ukraine.
According to the company's data provided on its website, more than 45% of the large substations of DTEK Odessa Electric Networks providing electricity transportation were subjected to enormous destruction.
It is specified that the next substation received significant damage — the 34th in a row. The holding noted that the restoration of the equipment will take time.
On February 12, DTEK reported serious damage to the 31st major electrical substation. On the same day, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported on his Telegram channel about damage to energy infrastructure facilities in the Odessa region.
