Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on February 26 that the so-called coalition of the willing was trying to present itself as a real mechanism of influence, but in fact, in his assessment, it was an attempt to wishful thinking.

"They're a coalition of willing people, right? We have such an expression, well, in English too, as "wishful thinking". They resemble people who are called "those who want to pose as real," he told reporters.

Speaking about Europe's position on the possible deployment of troops in Ukraine, Lavrov noted that different approaches remain in the region. According to him, "there are normal people who care about their people," but there are also those who continue to act within the framework of "ideologized schemes."

On February 25, the countries of the "coalition of the willing" confirmed their intention to send troops to Ukraine. It was noted that the states of the "coalition" welcomed the ongoing efforts of the American side for peace negotiations.

On February 21, Britain called for the deployment of troops of the "coalition of the willing" in Kiev. It was reported that this was not a full-scale intervention.
