Sovcombank talked about the successes in the implementation of AI

In 2025, Sovcombank scaled up the use of large language models, turning them into a full-fledged work tool for tens of thousands of employees. This was reported by the press service of the financial institution.

More than 80% of employees in key departments, including customer service and IT, use AI assistants on a daily basis. In IT departments, where the tools are adapted to specific tasks, the rate of regular use has reached 95%, the bank noted.

"We are already seeing impressive results in the implementation of large language models, but we understand that this is only the beginning. The first autonomous agents show an incredible increase in productivity and quality of work. The transition to the widespread use of AI in an organization is a major cultural change. Success is possible thanks to a strong technology team, management involvement, and overall discipline. This is our recipe for success," said Albert Boris, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sovcombank.

According to Sovcombank, the emergence of powerful models available for local deployment made it possible to create its own secure and controlled AI infrastructure. The first stage was completed in two months. During this time, a computing base for LLM work was created, a web interface with functionality similar to cloud services was developed, with a guarantee of data security, and a multi-level training program of five levels was launched. During the year, 95% of the target group's employees completed training — more than 34 thousand people.

The next step was the integration of language models with the bank's internal systems and knowledge bases. This allowed us to generate responses relevant to banking products and processes.

More than 4,000 initiatives have been implemented on the basis of the AI platform in 2025, from optimizing routine processes to developing new customer services, the bank stressed. Sovcombank is currently implementing more than 30 projects to create autonomous agents in various business areas.
