Sales of the Moskvich 70 and Moskvich 90 crossovers will begin in early March. This was announced to Izvestia on February 26 by Elena Frolova, General Director of the Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant.
Cars are already on their way to dealerships. It is planned to produce at least 10,000 70 and 90 models in 2026, she noted.
"At the same time, new and existing Moskvich models will be produced in parallel. We plan to start welding and painting Moskvich 70 by the end of this year. Both models have already been Russified, and domestic GLONASS modules are installed on them. Russian suppliers of components for these machines have been identified," Frolova said on the sidelines of the ForAuto-2026 conference.
Prices will be announced closer to the start of sales.
Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced on February 25 that the government had submitted a full list of localized cars for taxi work. The Ministry of Industry and Trade published the primary list of cars in early October 2025. More than 20 models from six Russian brands fell under the relevant criteria: Lada, UAZ, Sollers, Evolute, Voyah and Moskvich.
