Four people died in a fire in a private house in the Khabarovsk Territory.

As a result of a fire in an apartment building in the village of Rakitnoye, Khabarovsk region, four people were killed: two men and two women aged 29 to 54 years. This was announced on February 26 in the press center of the Main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Khabarovsk Territory.

"The flames quickly engulfed the entire building. Fire crews localized the fire 30 minutes later, preventing the threat of spreading to neighboring buildings. By 01:00 on February 26, the open gorenje was extinguished, and the crews began pouring and dismantling the burnt structures. By 04:00, firefighters completed work at the fire site. The fire area is 300 square meters," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that 13 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the regional fire service and four pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

At the scene, the relatives of the victims were assisted by specialists from the Far Eastern branch of the Center for Emergency Psychological Assistance of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The department added that investigative officers are working to establish the causes and circumstances of the fire.

On February 26, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Buryatia reported that a mother and two children died as a result of a fire in an apartment building. The roof of the house, the annex and the veranda were engulfed by fire.
