The construction industry in Russia has grown by 34% — this is the result of systematic work. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin told Izvestia on February 25.

"We have not dropped in volume for a single year, we have been growing from year to year. Over the past year, we have had an increase of 2.5%. This is due to the systematic work that the government is doing," he said.

As Khusnullin noted, despite the difficulties in the form of the pandemic and sanctions, such growth was achieved thanks to mortgage programs funded by the government. Support for housing construction and infrastructure projects of large companies also contributed to the development of the industry.

On February 17, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to update the strategy for the development of the construction industry and housing and communal services (housing and communal services) until 2030 by October 1 of this year. The government added that they need to develop measures for the technological development of the construction industry in the fields of civil, transport, industrial and housing construction, as well as housing and communal services.
