Deputy Mayor Sergunina announced a program of free guided tours around Moscow
By the end of 2026, over 1,100 free guided tours will be conducted as part of the My District program of the Mayor of Moscow. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.
The first series of sightseeing tours around Moscow took place in 2022. According to Sergunina, since that moment, about 1.6 thousand excursions have been organized for citizens and tourists.
"The popularity of regional excursions is growing every year. Over the entire time, almost 100 thousand people have become participants," Sergunina said.
In the new season, which begins in March, they offer to walk along 160 routes. From March to May, educational walks will traditionally take place along popular routes of previous years. So, in the Rostokino area, you can see the Gorky Film Studio, in Khovrin — the Grachevka estate, and in Sviblov you can look into the Yauza Park.
Tours on the new routes will start in June. One of them will tell about the Moskvich cultural center and the park named after the 200th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin in the Tekstilshchiki district. Another one will be dedicated to the Nagatinsky Zaton district — participants will walk along the embankment of the South River Station building, renovated in 2023, and also stroll through the landscaped park and maple alley.
The tour cycle has been prepared with the support of the "Walking in Moscow" project. The Moscow Mayor's My District program involves creating comfortable living conditions in all areas of the capital: from comfortable courtyards and parks to modern infrastructure facilities within walking distance.
