Mishustin called the strengthening of defense capability the basis of Russia's development

A key factor in the successful development of Russia and its strong economy is the strengthening of the state's defense capability and security. This was stated on February 25 by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting in the State Duma (State Duma).

"The key factor for the successful development of a country with a strong economy is, without a doubt, strengthening the defense capability and security of the state. To do this, the Government provides the country's Armed Forces involved in a special military operation (SVO. — Ed.), necessary weapons, equipment, and financial resources. The supply of individual samples in demand has increased by tens of percent," he said.

Mishustin expressed gratitude to the enterprises and employees who produce products for the needs of the army. The Prime Minister also noted that 2025 has been declared the Year of Defender of the Fatherland in memory of the exploits of those who fought for the Motherland in different periods of history, and in honor of the participants of the Patriotic War.

According to Mishustin, the support of special operation soldiers and their families is the most important task of the state and society. The Prime Minister thanked the deputies for their initiatives aimed at helping the Russian military and their families.
