Skolkovo residents presented solutions in the field of biotech and medicine

The Future Technologies Forum (FBT-2026), dedicated to the development of innovations and high-tech solutions, has started its work in Moscow. Skolkovo members (WEB groupRussian Federation) presented developments in the field of biotech, technologies for medicine and the agro-industrial complex at the forum.

The main theme of FBT-2026 is "Bioeconomics for humans". The participants will discuss a wide range of issues and topics related to achieving the main goals of the national project of the same name. The forum will present the most interesting technologies, including those related to the use of artificial intelligence, the development of additive biotechnologies, pharmaceuticals, synthetic biology, etc.

Five Skolkovo residents presented their developments at the Moscow government stand. In particular, the Osteo-Cyber company has exhibited bioresorbable magnesium implants. Unlike traditional titanium, these products for traumatology, orthopedics and maxillofacial surgery do not require extraction.: they completely and safely dissolve in the body after fusion, accelerating tissue regeneration.

The LABADVANCE resident showed solutions in the field of microfluidics. Their technology makes it possible to miniaturize PCR laboratories to the size of a portable chip. Such chips can be used to grow human cells and test drugs on them, which significantly reduces the amount of preclinical research.

3D Bioprinting Solutions company brought the Fabion bioprinter to the forum. The flagship application area is membrane bioprinting in order to restore the integrity of the eardrum. In 2025, on the basis of the Institute of Otolaryngology named after Over 40 surgeries to repair eardrum damage were successfully performed in Moscow with the help of the resident's development.

Klimbiotech has demonstrated a climate chamber (phytotron) in its work. The installation recreates the conditions for accelerated breeding of new plant varieties. And the Em Polymer startup will deploy its own waste recycling biotechnology using wax fireflies, insects that can feed on plastic.

Innovative developments of Skolkovo companies are also presented on the interactive touch panel. Among them is a drug for cancer therapy based on DR5—mediated cell death (Manebio), a test system for the diagnosis of neurological diseases by tear fluid (Synapsion). Forum visitors can also get acquainted with a new-generation biomarker ("Javis Diagnostics"), technologies for controlled in vitro plant cultivation ("Plasticine") and an innovative method for producing protein and chitin ("Synecotech").

In addition, the touch panel contains information about feed protein ("Clean Technologies"), vegan marmalade based on apple pectin ("Biofoodlab"). You can also learn more about the glow—in-the-dark petunia plant with the transferred fungal bioluminescence gene ("Planta") and the Rapid Bio test line.

FBT takes place in Moscow on February 25-26. The forum will feature more than 30 thematic sessions and panel discussions with more than 100 speakers.
