- A resident of Primorye will appear in court in a case of fraud for 27 million rubles.
A 50-year-old resident of Vladivostok, accused of fraud on a particularly large scale, will appear in court in Primorsky Krai. This was announced on February 25 by the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office.
"In 2006, the accused organized an illegal scheme to seize a plot of land in the suburbs of Vladivostok. Using forged documents, he registered ownership of real estate, which allowed him to later apply for land purchase," the agency's Telegram channel says.
The land area of over 17 thousand square meters belonged to the category of forest fund lands and was not subject to privatization. Despite this, in 2018, the accused acquired it at a discounted price for 2 million rubles at a market value of over 29 million rubles.
According to the investigation, the damage exceeded 27 million rubles. The crime was discovered by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Primorsky Krai.
On February 18, the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow sentenced blogger Victoria Logetskaya to four years in a general regime penal colony in a particularly large-scale fraud case. The defense requested a non-custodial preventive measure. The lawyer intends to appeal the verdict.
