More than 1.5 thousand postcards and letters were sent to SVO fighters from the Southern Administrative District in February

In February, over 1,500 postcards and letters, as well as humanitarian supplies, were handed over from the Southeastern Administrative District of Moscow to the participants of the special military operation. This was announced on February 25 by the portal of the mayor of the capital. mos.ru .

Schools, youth clubs, sports and leisure facilities, charities and non-profit organizations joined the campaign. Words of support and children's drawings were prepared by residents of all districts of the district. Over the weekend, as part of the "Winter in Moscow" project, master classes were held at ice rinks in Lefortovo, Maryina and Vykhino-Zhulebina, where adults and children wrote 725 messages to military personnel. Aid collection points also worked there.

More than 50 postcards were issued at the My Friendly Family Support Center in Nekrasovka. About 50 more messages were sent from Kuzminki — from the Youth of the Capital center, the Children's Quarter institution and the Bars sports and leisure center. The Council of veterans of the Kapotnya district sent 20 letters and postcards made by hand.

About 130 postcards were signed at the Printers in the Family club and the Moscow with You volunteer association, and the pupils of the Raduga children's Center prepared drawings. In Maryina, the public organization "Community of Maryino district" has sent more than 140 postcards and about 160 letters. The Teen Club produced 14 holiday posters, and the Melba center handed over 20 postcards.

Educational institutions have also joined the campaign. In the Ryazan region, students of school No. 2090 prepared 250 postcards and 400 drawings, and 300 greetings and 60 illustrations were issued at school No. 777.

"For centuries, our country has invested a special meaning in the defense of the Motherland. Today we see that the tradition is alive. Our guys are fighting on the front line, and millions of people in the rear are supporting them, some in word, some in deed. The whole country is with them. And today, everyone who sincerely believes in our victory is a defender of the Fatherland," said State Duma deputy Pyotr Tolstoy.

According to him, about 10 thousand veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in military operations of previous years and soldiers-internationalists living in the district also received congratulations. Since 2022, residents of the Southern Administrative District have collected more than 100 tons of humanitarian supplies and manufactured about 7.5 thousand camouflage nets.

The Winter in Moscow project brings together cultural, educational and sports events and is aimed at supporting participants and veterans of the SVR, as well as their families.

mos.ru On February 24, he reported that farmers participating in fairs in Moscow had sent a large parcel of products for Defender of the Fatherland Day to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation participating in the special operation. It was clarified that 10 boxes of venison stew, socks, and 100 pairs of warm gloves created by one of the participants of the fair, Vasily, were delivered to the servicemen.
