One person died in an accident in Chita
In the Chita Railway district, details of the accident that occurred on the 566th kilometer of the Ulan-Ude - Romanovka–Chita road are being established, as a result of which one person was killed and one injured. This was reported on February 25 in the State Traffic Inspectorate of Transbaikalia.
"According to preliminary data, the driver of the Honda Freed entered the lane of the road intended for oncoming traffic and collided with a Nissan Note," the agency's Telegram channel says.
As a result of the collision, the Honda driver was killed, the other driver was hospitalized in Chita City Clinical Hospital.
The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and causes of the incident, the Traffic Police said.
The day before, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia informed Izvestia that 513 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads over the past weekend and holidays, in which 60 people were killed and 698 injured. 48 of the dead were drivers or passengers.
