- Sber will help with the production of high-speed trains in the Russian Federation
Sberbank will provide financing for the construction of a new production building for the production of high-speed train components in Tver. The corresponding agreement was signed by Sberbank PJSC, the Eurasian Economic Commission and NPO VOYAGE, an investor from KSK Group of Companies, which is part of the Interior and Exterior division of the holding. This was reported by the press service of Sber.
The total cost of the project exceeds 1.9 billion rubles. The lending rate will be subsidized by the EEC as part of the mechanism for financial support of industrial cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union. The funds will be allocated for the construction of a building with an area of 12 thousand square meters and the purchase of modern equipment. The new site will produce a wide range of components for high-speed trains and other railway transport. The production of components for the Russian high-speed electric train will be part of a large-scale project to create a high-speed train in the country.
"Sber traditionally pays close attention to projects that are focused on the development of the domestic industry and are completely import-independent. We are particularly pleased to support the organization of modern production of components for such a large—scale and innovative project as the construction of a high-speed electric train for the Moscow-St. Petersburg highways. This is exactly the case when local production will work for a major government task and in the interests of the comfort of our citizens across the country," said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.
underlined:
"Cooperation with Sberbank and the EEC is a financial pillar that helps turn ambitions into reality. We are deeply grateful to our partners for understanding the relevance and scale of the task, as well as their willingness to support the project, which will become a growth point, contributing to the further development of innovative domestic transport," said Taras Spivak, CEO of Key Systems and Components Group.
