On February 24, the SAMi Theater presents a new version of Onegin to the audience at the Moscow International House of Music

One of the most unusual theaters in Moscow – the "Commonwealth of Actors, Musicians and ..." – the SAMi Theater – presents to the audience a new version of Natalia Semenova's play "Onegin".

Sergei Marin will play the title role in the play on February 24. The new performer changes the accents of the production. Through loneliness, disappointment, pride and an inescapable sense of guilt, the main theme of the play "Onegin" is the love of Tatiana and Eugene. The music performed live by the 4'33" Ensemble is the full–fledged hero of the play "Onegin", the engine of this story, its energy. It permeates the entire performance, and Anton Yakushev's violin sometimes says more than words. A unique video sequence of the performance, created taking into account the new performer. On February 24, Irina Pegova played Tatiana. The author will be played by Sergey Chonishvili, and Lensky will be played by Sergey Shnyrev. The author seems to be entrusting the plot development to three characters. Sometimes the characters interpret it, and sometimes even comment on it.

The creators of the play tried to take the Pushkin word as carefully as possible, preserving both the brilliant text and the fascinating plot. But they supplemented his stage version with famous comments on the novel – sharp, paradoxical, modern. The text also includes hooligan and funny epigrams by A. S. Pushkin himself.
