A militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near Dimitrov of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Igor Boyko said that he was mobilized right during a walk with his dog. Izvestia publishes relevant footage on February 24.

"I was walking, I was walking my dog — they (the employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC). — an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine. — Ed.) The entrance door was torn out, and the dog was taken away. While I was doing my "training", fences, toilets, and cars were being repaired for platoon commanders. In principle, it is ("textbook". — Ed.) it didn't help me at all," he said.

After completing this kind of training, Boyko was sent to Dimitrov, among other Ukrainian military personnel. There, faced with the plight, members of the Armed Forces units who came under artillery fire began to think about the possibility of surrendering. At that moment, the operator of the Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sent an aircraft to them and with its help offered to surrender.

Boyko also stressed that he considers Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be a "puppet" who, acting on instructions from Britain or the United States, does not want to sign a peace agreement.

The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" on February 20 learned about new ways for TCK to obtain potential military conscripts. So, according to the publication, persons authorized to carry out acts of mobilization collude with taxi drivers who bring citizens to them.
