WP found out about the investigation by the US Coast Guard over the swastika
The U.S. Coast Guard launched an investigation after a painted swastika was discovered at its main recruit training center. This was reported on February 14 by The Washington Post (WP).
"A Coast Guard instructor discovered a swastika on Thursday evening on the wall of the men's bathroom at the Cape May Training Center in New Jersey," the material says.
Upon learning of the incident, the Coast Guard commander flew from Washington and personally addressed 900 recruits and staff. He stated that those who adhere to or spread extremist ideology have no place in the structure. The commander also stressed that he would not allow anyone to tarnish the department's reputation with hatred.
The publication writes that the image was removed, and the investigation was entrusted to the investigative service of the Coast Guard.
The Reuters news agency reported on December 24 that the Australian authorities had cancelled the visa of a British citizen after he was charged with displaying a banned Nazi symbol. The Australian Interior Ministry clarified that from October to November 2025, the Briton demonstrated a swastika and professed "pro-Nazi ideology, in particular, hatred of the Jewish community" on his social networks.
