Russians were informed about the start of a short working week
A shortened working week has started in Russia after a three-day weekend. This was announced on February 24 by Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the RANEPA Presidential Academy.
"Russians return to work on February 24 after a three-day weekend dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. Since the holiday fell on Monday, the working week will be shortened and the standard weekend will follow," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The agency's interlocutor drew attention to the fact that the next long weekend will come at the beginning of next month. This is due to the fact that International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, falls on a Sunday this year.
Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, announced on February 21 that residents of Russia will have a shortened working week after the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day. It was specified that the working days will last from February 24 to February 27 inclusive.
