Two policemen were killed when an explosive device detonated in Moscow.

As a result of the detonation of an explosive device near a patrol car in the center of Moscow, two law enforcement officers were killed, a source told Izvestia on February 24.

"The death toll from the explosion of a traffic police car in the northeast has increased to two. The identity of the second is being established," the source informed.

Earlier, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry reported the death of one law enforcement officer.

"According to preliminary data, as a result of the criminal's actions, one Traffic police officer suffered life-threatening injuries. The second policeman is receiving medical assistance," the agency said in a Telegram channel post.
