Russia strongly urges Washington to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry on February 23.
"We strongly urge Washington to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. We have consistently advocated respect for Venezuela's sovereignty and the peaceful settlement of all differences," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
