The US State Department called the murder of the head of a drug cartel in Mexico a great achievement.

The elimination of the head of one of Mexico's largest drug cartels, the Jalisco New Generation, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as El Mencho, is a great achievement for the whole world. This was announced on February 22 by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

"I have just been informed that Mexican security forces have killed El Mencho, one of the bloodiest and most ruthless drug lords. This is a great achievement for Mexico, the USA, Latin America and the whole world. The good guys are stronger than the bad guys.
