Zakharova congratulated Russian servicemen on Defender of the Fatherland Day
On February 23, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova congratulated Russian military personnel (RF Armed Forces) and other citizens of the country on Defender of the Fatherland Day.
"Even our inner confidence and the ability and desire to protect ourselves <... As a country, as a society, from these endless attacks, faith in one's own strength, faith in one's past, in one's history, in one's classics is also the defense of the Fatherland," Zakharova said in an interview with TASS.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry particularly focused on the topic of information and psychological confrontation. She said that Western countries had made systematic attempts to intimidate Russian society and the military, suggesting that the country's position was wrong.
"Now it's a celebration of our guys, our defenders. Those who defend our values like this, with weapons in their hands. Those who came out <...> to the general Western hooting and attempts to intimidate, not even physically, but attempts to intimidate, saying that we are supposedly not on the right side of history. They survived both physically and mentally," Zakharova stressed.
She also wished the soldiers of the Special military operation (SVO) strength and well-being.
