A child was killed in a fire in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (AO). This was reported on February 21 in the press service of the main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"At 20:55 (18:55 Moscow time. — Ed.) the 11th fire and rescue unit of the city of Tarko-Sale received a message about a fire in a private apartment building with an attic floor located at Yuzhnaya Street," a message in the MAX messenger said.

When fire services arrived at the scene, the fire had spread to an area of 200 square meters. m. According to preliminary information, four people, including three minors, managed to evacuate on their own before the arrival of emergency services. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the death of one child in a fire.

Five pieces of equipment and 49 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire.
