The Donbass Dome electronic warfare system continues to successfully resist terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the Directorate of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) estimated that during the week the electronic warfare system destroyed 178 enemy drones over the territory of the Russian Federation.
"157 drones were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 21 over Gorlovka," the ministry said.
According to the press service, one of the attacks occurred in the area of an electrical substation in Shakhtersk, where the enemy tried to use an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Chaika aircraft type, on which a high-explosive fragmentation warhead was fixed. With the help of the Donbass Dome, the drone was intercepted, securing the electrical substation.
"Near the transformer substation in Dokuchaevsk, an electronic warfare system intercepted a Ukrainian Chaklun attack drone, which was carrying an improvised explosive device based on a grenade launcher," the FSB of the Russian Federation in the region reported.
In addition, three FPV attack drones with small Kolokolchik-type submunitions were intercepted in the sky over the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka. These drones targeted residential areas, but were neutralized and did not cause any damage.
The press service of the department also recalled that all explosive objects after the suppression of drones are eliminated by professional explosives experts.
Last week, the FSB of the Russian Federation for the DPR informed that the electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" prevented 205 attacks on the Russian region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was reported that 174 drones were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 31 over Gorlovka.
