Putin congratulates Vladimir Resin on his 90th birthday

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated State Duma deputy, Hero of Labor of Russia Vladimir Resin on his 90th birthday, noting his contribution to the restoration and reconstruction of iconic sites in the country. Congratulations were voiced on February 21 in a documentary about Resin shown on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

The Head of State stressed that with Resin's participation, work was carried out on the reconstruction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as well as individual facilities of the Moscow Kremlin, including the office of the President of Russia.

"Vladimir Iosifovich, I congratulate you on your anniversary. I wish you good health and success for the benefit of Moscow, Muscovites and our entire country," Putin said.

The President noted that Resin is a high-class specialist, an obliging and decent person, whom everyone around him, including the administration of St. Petersburg, treats with great respect.

"Everyone knew that if Resin took on something, it would be done for sure," he added.

On February 11, Putin signed a decree on celebrating the 90th anniversary of the birth of film director Stanislav Govorukhin in 2026. According to the decree, an organizing committee was formed to prepare and hold the anniversary event.
