On February 21, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, declared unacceptable the demands of the head of the European Diplomacy, Kai Kallas, for Russia to abandon its desire to achieve international recognition of Crimea and the new regions.

According to him, the position of the European side, which presupposes the non-recognition of these territories, may create prerequisites for new conflicts in the future. He also noted that if an attempt is made to attack the Russian Federation, retaliatory actions will follow.

Konstantinov also expressed the opinion that the conditions put forward by Callas were the result of the fact that the European Union was outside the process of resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

"The EU has established itself as a Russophobic structure that has no right to be a participant in the negotiation process," Konstantinov told RIA Novosti.
