Psychologist Nestik named the frequent phrases of phone scammers
Fraudsters often use the words "secure account" or "FSB" in conversations with potential victims. This was announced on February 21 by Timofey Nestik, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, on the sidelines of the Ural Cybersecurity Forum of the Bank of Russia.
According to him, the most important thing is to pay attention to your own emotional state during such calls. If a person experiences anxiety, pressure, or is being pushed to take immediate action, this may indicate a fraudulent scheme.
"Let's say a secure account or an FSB account. But, you know, schemes change very quickly," he told RIA Novosti.
In such situations, the specialist recommends interrupting the conversation. In his opinion, the pause allows you to assess what is happening and make an informed decision without succumbing to pressure from the interlocutor.
Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws and other regulations, said on February 21 that restrictions on the operation of foreign messengers forced fraudsters to change tactics and schemes to deceive Russians — they switched from intimidation to complicity. He also drew attention to the more frequent cases of offenses committed by individuals on behalf of organized criminal communities.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
