Medical workers can retire early if they have at least 25 years of special service in rural areas or 30 years in cities. The same right is provided for teachers if their work experience in children's institutions is at least 25 years. On February 21, Natalia Melnikova, senator, former head of the Social Fund department for the Pskov region, told about this.

"Medical workers have the right to early retirement when working out a special length of service: 25 years in rural areas (towns) or 30 years in cities. Also, if a medical professional has experience in rural areas and in the city, that is, mixed, it is necessary to work out 30 years. The retirement age has been postponed for five years from the date of work experience. For example, the length of service was worked out in 2023 — the right to a pension will arise in 2028," the senator told RIA Novosti.
