A student who was injured as a result of a shooting by students of the Anapa Industrial College has been discharged from the hospital. This was announced on Friday, February 20, by a representative of the press service of the city hall.

"According to the Anapa City hospital, the student was discharged today," he said, referring to the medical institution in a conversation with TASS.

The authorities clarified that the second librarian injured in the incident, who was transferred to Krasnodar for treatment, remains in stable condition and is preparing to return to Anapa to continue treatment.

The shooting at Anapa College, which resulted in the death of a security guard who showed heroism in preventing it, occurred on the morning of February 11. At that time, it was reported that two victims were subsequently killed by a detained attacker, who turned out to be one of the students.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region opened a criminal case on the tragedy on the same day. Criminologists involved in the territory of the educational institution seized firearms, shell casings and cartridges from there. The young man who opened fire was arrested until April 11, 2026.
