Students of pre-professional classes in Moscow schools have the opportunity not only to study their chosen subjects in depth, but also to engage in real scientific research, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his blog.

Today, 47 thousand people study in the capital's pre-professional classes. Each of them has the opportunity to work on their own projects in the laboratories of the capital's universities and research centers under the guidance of researchers, as well as to get acquainted with the production and scientific base of enterprises and institutions of their chosen focus. According to the mayor of the capital, today more than 400 universities, colleges and manufacturing companies cooperate with pre-professional classes of Moscow schools.

Students of pre-professional classes also have the opportunity to present their scientific and practical developments at specialized thematic conferences. Since 2017, the Science for Life conference has been held in the capital, the winners and prize-winners of which receive additional points for the Unified State Exam upon admission to partner universities. Since 2015, the Start in Medicine conference has been held in Moscow, where students of natural science and medical classes, as well as students from engineering classes specializing in biotechnology, present their projects. And future engineers specializing in the field of technical developments are presenting them at the thematic conference "Engineers of the Future".
