Collapse: tire repair services announced a 10-15% price increase%
Representatives of large tire services announced a 10-15% price increase for their services in the spring, industry representatives told Izvestia. The upcoming cost change is also being discussed in the Russian Car Service Union. Market participants cite staff shortages, rising personnel and equipment costs, and increased administrative workload as reasons. The price increase is also associated with a reduction in the number of tire installations due to residential development in large cities. About how the demand and supply of such services are changing is in the Izvestia article.
How much will tire service become more expensive
In 2026, seasonal tire repair services will rise in price by 10-15% compared to last spring, representatives of service centers told Izvestia. In the international franchise network of car service Fit Service, the increase in prices was explained by the need to maintain employee salaries and maintain the quality of service, said Oleg Bachmanov, the company's marketing director.
Prices for services are rising due to inflation, staff shortages and increased personnel and equipment costs, the company said. They also note a change in the tax and administrative burden.
— These costs are directly reflected in the cost of the work. In addition, utilities and rent have significantly increased in price," explained Oleg Bachmanov, the company's marketing director.
Tamara Semenchenko, head of the Maktyre service, agreed with this opinion. The company plans to raise prices by an average of 15% due to the rising cost of consumables, rent and utility bills, which have risen in price since February.
Part of the car services in the Moscow shopping center‑Tianya also reported on the upcoming price change. According to representatives, the maintenance of wheels of popular standard sizes will rise in price more, while the growth will be moderate for rare and less demanded positions.
— However, the price dynamics will vary by region and type of services. On average, the growth will be about 10-15%," Oleg Bachmanov noted.
The cost of tire repair work is also affected by the reduction in the number of such services in large cities, said Anton Shaparin, Vice President of the National Automobile Union (NAS).
— The territories of industrial zones are being built up with residential buildings, so it has become more difficult to find tire repair services in Moscow and other major cities. While their number is decreasing, prices will rise," the expert noted.
At the same time, not all market participants record a decrease in the number of services. According to Avito analysts, the market remains competitive, and the number of offers continues to increase actively.
Why are tire prices rising?
The increase in prices for seasonal car refueling services has been going on for several years. Thus, in the spring of 2025, the cost increased by 12%, and in 2024 - by 23% compared to the same period of the previous year, market participants note. Vera Pavlova, head of the press service of the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers, called the seasonal price increase in the tire repair segment traditional.
Earlier, the head of the Autostat agency, Sergey Tselikov, mentioned another reason for the price increase. According to him, the Russian fleet is actively changing, a large number of Chinese SUVs with large wheel sizes are appearing, the maintenance cost of which is noticeably more expensive than that of passenger cars.
The Russian Car Service Union believes that the price increase will affect the entire tire repair industry. According to Alexander Pakhomov, vice‑chairman of the union, this is due to the need to compensate for inflation. The expert stressed that businesses are forced to increase the cost of services, otherwise they risk going bankrupt.
— Today, enterprises are facing a situation where everything is getting more expensive, while salaries remain at the same level. The average employee has to work six days a week to earn more," he said.
Earlier, Ilya Plisov, a member of the union's board, told Izvestia that employees' salaries range from 30 to 60% of the cost of services, which directly affects their final price.
According to Avito, in February 2026, the demand for tire service increased 2.5 times compared to January, while the number of offers increased by 41%. Activity remains high on the part of both motorists and craftsmen, who prepare in advance for increased workload. The company noted that possible price adjustments will be spot-based and related to seasonal load rather than systemic factors.
The solution to the tire problem, according to market participants, is related to the transition of workshops to a niche format. More individual "garage" workshops will appear in the segment, providing tire service and other services cheaper than a service station, predicts Anton Shaparin.
