The "orange" weather danger level has been declared in Moscow due to heavy snowfall, blizzard conditions, sleet and increased wind. The warning will be valid until 00:00 on February 20.

Heavy snow is expected in Moscow during the day on February 19, with very heavy snow in some places during the daytime; blizzard, ice and snow drifts on the roads; increased wind in the eastern quarter in gusts up to 17 m/s, the Hydrometeorological Center said.

A similar level of danger has been introduced in the Moscow region.

On this day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that on February 19 it would be cloudy, with very heavy snow in places, a blizzard, icy conditions, and snow drifts. The air temperature in Moscow will range from -5 to -7 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -12. In the Moscow region, it will be from -5 to -10 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to -15.
