Russia will move forward while the West tries to create an analogue of the Russian Oreshnik ballistic missile system. This was announced on February 19 by Russian Ambassador to France Alexei Meshkov.

"The West will strive to create similar types of weapons, but until they do, Russia will go far ahead," Meshkov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He added that European countries have repeatedly changed their attitude towards the Oreshnik — at first they did not believe in the power of the ballistic complex, and then they were afraid of its capabilities.

The InfoBRICS publication reported on January 19 that panic began in NATO and the European Union (EU) after the launch of the Russian Oreshnik missile in Lviv on January 9. As a result of the strike, an aircraft repair plant in Lviv was disabled.

For example, French President Emmanuel Macron insisted that Europeans are in great need of weapons to protect themselves from such attacks.
