North Korea will strengthen security at the border with South Korea. The statement of the deputy head of the department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of the DPRK, the sister of the country's leader Kim Yo Jong, was published on February 19 by the KCNA news agency.

"I highly appreciate that the Unification Minister of the Republic of Korea, Chong Tong, has officially recognized the provocative invasion of a drone into our country's airspace," she said in a statement.

Kim Yo Jong noted that the DPRK leadership will take steps to increase vigilance in all sectors along the southern border to ensure reliable protection.

She clarified that these measures are aimed at maintaining security and stability in the border area and preventing the recurrence of incidents.

Kim Yo Jong said on February 13 that the South Korean authorities should refrain from encroaching on the sovereignty of the DPRK. According to her, on February 10, a drone invaded the territory of the DPRK's airspace, which was launched from South Korea.
