Ukrainian media reported on the departure of Zelensky's ex-assistant Shefir from the country

Former assistant to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and founder of the Kvartal 95 Studio Sergey Shefir has left the territory of his country. This was reported on February 18 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"The media is publishing a photo of him at Warsaw airport, reportedly taken yesterday [February 17]," the article says.

The authors of the material clarified that they had previously written about a possible drop in the suspicions of representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) on the former assistant to the Ukrainian leader.

Shefir, among other employees of the Zelensky administration, was dismissed on March 30, 2024. It was noted then that before his appointment to this post, which took place in May 2019, the figure, who was a friend of the Ukrainian leader, worked with him on television projects. Some time later, on April 2 of the same year, the specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) of Ukraine exposed and detained an organized group of employees led by an ex-adviser to the office of President Vladimir Zelensky, suspected of embezzling almost 95 million hryvnias (almost $ 2.5 million) during the purchase of transformers.

On February 18, 2026, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov noted the systematic work of NABU and SAP to expose Zelensky's team. He noted that representatives of these agencies conduct searches and bring charges against politicians involved in embezzlement and bribes.
